Dear St. Pius X Family

What stories the walls of the church could tell if they could talk.  Stories of 50 years of baptisms, weddings, funerals, memorable homilies, moving liturgies, special times of prayer highlighting memorable times of parish life!

Walls can’t talk, but we can.   It is up to us to tell our stories of faith, our history.   We are the living stones of the church, we are the church.   But as church, we also need a place to gather for our prayer and worship.   Our church structure has served us well for over 50 years and will continue to serve us for many years to come.   It has been over 30 years since the last major renovation of our building.   Having worked on our school for the benefit of our youth, it is now time to turn our attention to church as we add on a gathering space and renovate the interior, providing a new look.  

Being livings stones of the church, we also provide our spirit for our parish life, and what spirit we have.   We call it “the Pius Spirit”.   It is a spirit of simplicity, hard work, sacrifice, warmth, hospitality and diversity.   These have been the hallmarks of our parish for years and we carry that same spirit into the future.  

We embark on this project as people of faith, trusting in the Lord and grateful for all He has given us.   May the Lord continue to bless the work of our hands.
