Pastoral Care

St. Pius X strives to provide caring service to one another.

Pastoral Care

The purpose of pastoral care is to cultivate the healing, transforming presence of the living Christ in the lives of the people within the parish and beyond. The Pastoral Care Ministries at St. Pius X bring the church community to those who, in the short term, have become sick, have had a mishap, or have suffered a loss. They also assist long term situations where parishioners are no longer able to attend, worship, and pray with our Church community on a regular basis. Our Pastoral Care Ministers serve in supportive and practical ways such as  bringing Communion to those who cannot make it to mass, caring for those who are grieving, and praying for those who are sick.

Because of privacy laws, St. Pius X parish is not notified if a parishioner is hospitalized, home bound, or enters a health care facility.  We must hear from the parishioner, family member, or friend if someone wishes the support of our pastoral care team.  You may call or email the rectory office at 402-558-8446.
